News: December 2017

The normal monthly meeting was replaced by the annual Christmas Lunch at the Hunters Lodge Hotel in Crewe.

In addition to the member’s good ladies, we welcomed special guests Bob Monk, President of the Saxon Cross Probus Club and Richard Hovey, Chairman of the Sandbach Rotay Club and Deputy Mayor of Sandbach.

In all, 75 meals were served with the usual efficiency of the hotel.   The President, Dave Slack, in his speech, drew attention to the extreme changes now being introduced in respect of the relationship between men and women, boys and girls by the politically elite members of our society.   Flirting, that our generation engaged in is now taboo.

The President’s wife Lyn proposed a vote of thanks on behalf of the ladies.
